Future of Cocktails

This article is why I am worried about the future of the craft.

The future of the craft never was, or ever will be, in Madison, WI. Your best bet for a "fancy" drink up there is TGI Friday's.

When in Madison, really, it is best to stick with a "Bourbon Old-Fashioned, Water," at an old school steak house or fish fry. Or a delicious beer from Bell's, New Glarus Brewing, or even Capital.

Most of the newer restaurants and bars are about 20 years behind the times and show no sign of reforming.

Actually, I kind of like The Old Fashioned. Their heart is in the right place. If only they'd left the sprite and muddled fruit out of their signature old-fashioned...
